The Crystal Blue Band - Home

The Crystal Blue Band's name was taken from the great hit song, Crystal Blue Persuasion, one of many recorded and co-written by CBB members Mike Vale, Ron Rosman and Ed Gray when they were original members of one of Classic Rock's most influential artists, Tommy James & The Shondells.
Not to be confused with many entertainers over the years who pass through various historical groups as subsequent members, these are the members who were there when such hits as "I Think Were Alone Now". "Mony Mony", "Sweet Cherry Wine", "Crimson & Clover", "Ball Of Fire", "Mirage", "Crystal Blue Persuasion", "Getting Together" and many others were recorded and written.
Yes, the same artists whose pics can be found on every TJ&S album ever released. The same who appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show (twice), The Dating Game, The Joey Bishop Show, Dick Clark's Bandstand (4 times), and numerous other TV shows.
Their hits have been covered by such great performers as Billy Idol, Prince, Santana, Joan Jett, Tom Jones and many more. Also, their songs have been featured in countless motion pictures over the years.

And recently, after approximately 40 years pursuing solo careers, Vale, Rosman and Gray, along with longtime musician and friend mike Wilps have reunited as The Crystal Blue Band to launch their 50 Year Anniversary Tour!

We hope you enjoy these pages designed to celebrate not only their historic past career but to keep you, our friends and fans up to speed on what the future holds. We look forward to meeting new friends and reuniting with those of you that we have not seen for such a long time. We also look forward to hearing from you on the Pipeline Tab of this site.
